OUR MISSION STATEMENT
“To guide our youth to truly love Jesus and to serve Him in our parish and in the world.”
OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of the Youth Ministry program is to create an environment which welcomes young people into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and His Church.
Jesus commanded his first disciples: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations: (MT 28:19)
Understanding this, everything we do in youth ministry, is directed toward the evangelization of our young people, leading them to know, love, and serve Christ and His Church.

WHAT WE DO
OLS Youth Ministry meets one or two Sunday evenings at Our Lady of Sorrows from 5:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. Our meeting frequency and time can changed based on the availability of participants. We're flexible! We incorporate fun and sometimes food into our meetings. During Mardi Gras, our teen members searched for two babies hidden in slices of King Cake. Winners selected a prize of their choosing! During an OLS Youth Ministry Social Night, our members paired up for a "snowball" (white puff balls) battle! We also hosting a game night with the residents at The DuBourg House, a residential group home for senior citizens.
If you are interested in joining our group, or just want to come check out a meeting and see what it's like, please contact Mary Kabbaz (marymargaret21@swbell.net) or Rachel Shoenberger (beautifulmountain96@gmail.com) for more information. We look forward to meeting you and hope to see you soon!
